The Cinco de Mayo Festival has experienced exponential growth over the years, reflecting its popularity and significance within the community. As a response to that growth, organizers have made changes to improve the 2024 festival footprint and safety. 

Limited Entrances

Festival goers can enter the event via one of four entrances:

• Jefferson Ave Grand Entrance

• Nebraska Ave. Grand Entrance

• Iowa North Entrance

• Iowa South Entrance

Bag Check

All festival goers will be subject to bag check upon entry to check for prohibited items. No weapons, outside alcohol, coolers or audio speakers are allowed into the festival. Additional prohibited items include illegal substances, glass containers, drones, laser pointers, tables, chairs and open flame/fire.

Festival Hours

Cinco de Mayo on Cherokee Street is open 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM. 

Ride Share Drop Off / Pick Up

Ride share drop off and pick up is on Jefferson Ave, south of Cherokee Street. Don’t forget to update your ride share apps before leaving home! 

Emergency Services

In case of Emergency, EMS services are located on the south side of Texas Ave. on the lot west of the stage. In the event of a catastrophic emergency requiring evacuation, side street barricades will be opened to facilitate quick exit from the festival footprint.
